Sometimes, the people in the cashier swiping your card messes it up so some people end up with double charges on their credit cards. Other times, it's their machine that's got a problem. I had that experience once when I gassed up my SUV while visiting my folks. The guy swiped my credit card and showed that there was an error so he repeated the transaction. When I received my statement later that month, it was only then when I realized that the first transaction went through and I was charged twice for it. |
