Yes! It's never too late to start! Albeit, some teens may complain, but the more you get them involved in the planning (letting them choose what to cook for dinner, what activities to do while you're camping, etc), the more they feel the trip is what they want/like, not just mom and dad's decisions. Don't go too heave on device restrictions right out of the gate - make specific parts of the day "family time" with a hike, water sports, games at night, etc. Use their devices for the power of good: photos! Turn their photos into albums when you're home and/or frame one from each child.
Teens often travel in packs. The thought of bringing a friend may seem crazy for some, but you just may want to consider it. Your teen may not be so reluctant to do something if their friend is there (and think through who that friend will be; bring a happy, easy-going one who is least likely to cause you stress!)
